In the fourth quarter of 2024, the travel and local app category on Android in the United Arab Emirates showcased significant activity. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Nusuk | نسك from the Ministry of Hajj and Umra saw a consistent rise in weekly downloads, peaking at about 10.3K in mid-December. Weekly active users increased steadily, reaching approximately 40.3K by the end of the year.

Visa Airport Companion experienced a notable peak in downloads at the start of the quarter with 12.4K, followed by a steady range around 4.4K to 7.3K. Active users peaked at 10.4K initially, then settled around 6.5K by year’s end.

Wego - Flights, Hotels, Travel maintained a steady download rate, reaching 6.4K in early December. It saw a consistent increase in active users, culminating in nearly 64.7K by the quarter's close.

MakeMyTrip - Flights & Hotels showed stable download numbers throughout the quarter, with a peak of 5.2K in late December. Active user numbers fluctuated slightly, maintaining an average around 120K.

nol Pay had stable downloads, with a peak of 5.4K in mid-December. Active users started strong at 67.3K, but dipped to around 53.9K towards the end of December.
